How do I get notified before the POU reaches the ‘EXPIRED’ status?

A Trademark Holder or Trademark Agent will receive 4 email notifications before the POU status of a specific trademark record will change to ‘EXPIRED’:

  • First notification: 60 days before the POU expiration date;
  • Second notification: 30 days before the POU expiration date;
  • Third notification: on the actual POU expiration date;
  • Final notification: 30 days after the POU expiration date.

Please note that if you are using the API, the aforementioned notifications will be retrievable via poll messages.

Furthermore, as of the POU expiration date until the POU status reaches the ‘EXPIRED’ status, a pop-up message will be displayed on the trademark details page requiring you to revalidate/invalidate the POU documentation for that specific trademark record.
